About the Artist
"I try to create images with strong, simple and graphic compositions. I am drawn to pristine landscapes in remarkable light, travel destinations from unlikely viewpoints and scenes that transport the viewer to a distant place and time."

Randy Kerr

Randy Kerr's work has been featured in The New York Times, Discovery's Travel Channel, Communication Arts Network, Expedia's Mungo Park, and Altrec's Route360. He is experienced in a variety of photographic formats including state-of-the-art iPIX technology, receiving the 1999 iPIX Outstanding Achievement Award for Travel.

Before his formal pursuit of photography, Randy flirted with a career as a classical pianist, earned degrees in electrical engineering and artificial intelligence, and gave fifteen years to the computer industry. With the end of the adventure travel site Mungo Park and Randy's dream job of field program manager, he decided to make photography more than a pastime.

In a two week span Randy left Microsoft, exchanged nuptials and boarded a plane bound for the Himalayas with his new wife. Three months later he (and his wife) returned with hundreds of rolls of film and a renewed sense of how to marry his passions of travel and photography.

Randy's dog-eared passport reflects a wanderlust that has taken him through more than 30 countries. Future adventures are planned from the Kerr's perch overlooking Puget Sound.
